7 days and 7 nights of premium northern Tasmanian nature experiences featuring the beaches in the Bay of Fires region and the wilderness of Tasmania’s west. Tasmania’s wildlife is featured on the Quoll Patrol tour and at Trowunna Wildlife Park and see Tasmania’s majestic alpine peaks at Ben Lomond & Cradle Mountain National Parks.
Day 1 – Quoll Patrol
Regarded as one of Australia’s best wildlife tours. A Launceston to Scottsdale transfer – depart Scottsdale to visit the majestic alpine peaks of Ben Lomond National Park – travel via the Roses Tier forest and Tombstone Creek Forest Reserve to the Tyne Valley for a camp fire dinner with the kangaroos and nocturnal wildlife tour. See eastern quolls, brush tail possums and Tasmanian pademelons at the camp fire, with wombats and Bennett’s wallaby grazing close by.

Day 2 – Mt. William National Park & Bay of Fires Region
Hunt for the elusive platypus before travelling to the far north east corner of Tasmania at Mt William National Park. Take a stroll on the stunning white pristine beaches in the Bay of Fires region and lunch with the local wallabies. The Park has over 100 resident bird species.
Day 2 – Optional Evening Canopy Capers
Capture the timeless ambience of Tasmania’s bush on this Australian nocturnal wildlife tour. Listen to the afternoon sounds of the bush chorus from nearby birds, enjoy a campfire dinner and a nocturnal walk in the forest to see and hear the brushtail & ringtail possums, pademelon & Bennett’s wallabies and bettongs go about their nightly business.

Day 3 -Trowunna Wildlife to Strahan
Today we travel to the beautiful Meander Valley for a private tour at the Trowunna Wildlife Park. Cuddle a wombat, meet the Tasmanian devil, spotted tailed quoll and other fur and feathered residents. After lunch we contuse the journey to Strahan

Day 4 – Strahan – Gordon River Cruise
Cruise the Gordon River with World Heritage Cruises. A full day, see Hell’s Gates, Salmon farms, guided Sarah Island stop-over, Godon River heritage landing board walk and Huon Pine Sawmill with a nugget lunch. Before dinner, sit in on the interactive play, The Ship That Never Was.

Day 5-6 – Strahan to Cradle Mountain
Departing Strahan our journey today takes us to Cradle Mountain via the old mining towns of Zeehan and Rosebery. Cradle offers a range of walks of varied distances, amazing alpine flora and wombats grazing. Visit Waldheim Lodge to learn of the history and hardships involved in achieving National Park status. The Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery is also a worthwhile visit.
Day 5 – Optional West Coast Wilderness Railway
There is an option to ride the West Coast Wilderness Railway from Strahan to Queenstown. This is limited to departing on particular days

Day 7 – Cradle Mountain to Launceston
Departing Cradle Mountain we travel to the beautiful Tamar Valley to visit the platypus and echidna at Platypus House. Tamar Valley vineyards are also on offer before finishing the day in Launceston
Overnight: Peppers Seaport Hotel
Dinner: Own arrangements
Day 8 – Departure to the Launceston Airport – taxi at own arrangements
